African Cargo Management (brief as: ACM) as it is known started its operation in 2001 in south africa, with a fleet of 7 trucks and currently operate a fleet of about 95 vehicles and 126 trailers.
Our fleet mainly consists of volvos / scanias with an average fleet age of less than 3 years with the new ones being a few months old. We have got satellite tracking on our vehicles, which are continually monitored by our operations.
We operate from our own facility which is a 36000 sqm yard with warehousing facilities up to 15000 sqm based at Benoni, Johannesburg, South Africa. We operate our own normal, bonded warehouse OS and SOS warehouse for non-dutiable items from the same facility. Further we are also customs accredited in South Africa.
In addition, we have another 20000 sqm across the road which is being rented from the Transnet and again 10000 sqm of this property is also bonded to handle project cargo. The operations are housed in well-spaced offices with more than adequate parking.
Apart from transport operations we have diversified in to logistics and warehousing operations. We offer a door to door’s service from various destinations including far east and Europe in to and out of Africa. We have an inhouse department which handles imports, exports and shipping.
